नेपालको सांस्कृतिक समृद्धि, स्थानीय प्रतिभाको पहिचान, तथा चलचित्र क्षेत्रको राष्ट्रिय तथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने उद्देश्यले "प्रथम धौलागिरी चलचित्र महोत्सव २०७८" को आयोजना कुश्मा, पर्वतमा गरिँदैछ।

With the aim of enriching Nepal's culture, recognizing local talent, and promoting the film industry both nationally and internationally, the "1st Dhaulagiri Film Festival 2078" is being organized in Kushma, Parbat.

यस भव्य महोत्सवले धौलागिरी अञ्चलका पर्वत, बाग्लुङ, म्याग्दी र मुस्ताङ जिल्लालाई केन्द्रमा राख्दै, चलचित्र, पर्यटन, संस्कृति र प्रतिभालाई एउटै मञ्चमा प्रस्तुत गर्नेछ।

This grand festival will place the Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang districts of the Dhaulagiri region at its center — bringing cinema, tourism, culture, and talent together on a single platform.

विगत केही वर्षयता कोभिड-१९ को प्रभावले विश्व नै आक्रान्त भएको थियो, र नेपाल पनि यसबाट अछुतो रहेन — सबै व्यवसाय अस्तव्यस्त भए। यसैक्रममा हाम्रो चलचित्र क्षेत्र पनि ठूलो मारमा परेको कुरा सबैलाई विदितै छ। हाल कोभिड-१९ को असर घटेसँगै नेपाल पुनः सामान्य गतिमा फर्किसकेको छ, र देशभर विभिन्न कार्यक्रम तथा महोत्सवहरू सञ्चालन हुन थालेका छन्।

In recent years, the world — including Nepal — was severely affected by COVID-19, disrupting all sectors of business. As is well known, our film industry suffered greatly as a result. With the impact of the pandemic now easing, Nepal has returned to normalcy, and festivals and events are once again being organized nationwide.

यसै सन्दर्भमा, अहुरी इन्टरटेन्मेन्ट प्रा.ली., कीर्तिपुर, काठमाडौं र कलासँग जोडिएका विभिन्न संघ-संस्थाहरूको सहकार्यमा आयोजित "प्रथम धौलागिरी चलचित्र महोत्सव २०७८" को पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा उपस्थित सबैमा हार्दिक स्वागत छ।

In this context, we warmly welcome everyone to the press conference of the "1st Dhaulagiri Film Festival 2078," organized by Ahuri Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Kirtipur, Kathmandu, in association with various arts-related organizations.

गण्डकी प्रदेश अन्तर्गत धौलागिरीको सुन्दर नगरी कुश्मा, पर्वतमा "पर्यटन प्रवर्द्धन, कला र संस्कृतिको संरक्षण, अग्रजलाई सम्मान र नयाँलाई प्रोत्साहन" भन्ने मूल नाराका साथ धौलागिरीको गौरव "प्रथम धौलागिरी चलचित्र महोत्सव २०७८" पर्वत जिल्ला कुश्माको सिद्धेश्वर चलचित्र हलमा यही पौष ७ देखि १० गतेसम्म आयोजना हुने जानकारी गराइन्छ।

Under the guiding motto "Promoting Tourism, Preserving Art and Culture, Honoring the Pioneers, and Encouraging the New," the pride of Dhaulagiri — the "1st Dhaulagiri Film Festival 2078" — will be held at Siddheshwar Cinema Hall, Kushma, Parbat district, in the scenic town of Kushma within Gandaki Province, from Poush 7 to 10.

धौलागिरीको पर्वत, बाग्लुङ, म्याग्दी र मुस्ताङ भित्रका लगानीकर्ता, कलाकार, निर्देशक, लेखक र प्राविधिकहरूले निर्माण गरेका लघु चलचित्र, डकुमेन्ट्री, एनिमेसन र ठूलो पर्दाका चलचित्रहरू छनोट गरी प्रदर्शन गर्ने उद्देश्यका साथ यस महोत्सवको तयारी गरिएको छ।

The festival has been prepared with the objective of selecting and screening short films, documentaries, animations, and feature films produced by investors, artists, directors, writers, and technicians from within Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang.

धौलागिरीको संस्कृति, पर्यटन र आर्थिक विकासमा प्रमुख सहयोग पुर्‍याउने गरी आयोजित यस महोत्सवमा धौलागिरीका करिब ३५०भन्दा बढी कलाकार र दर्जनौं निर्माता तथा निर्देशकको सहभागिता रहने अपेक्षा र विश्वासका साथ महोत्सवको तयारी अगाडि बढाइएको जानकारी गराइन्छ।

Expected to make a major contribution to Dhaulagiri's culture, tourism, and economic development, this festival anticipates the participation of approximately 350+ artists and dozens of producers and directors from the region.

विगतका वर्षहरूमा धौलागिरी क्षेत्रमै बसेर संघर्ष गरिरहेका कलाकार, निर्देशक, र निरन्तर लगानी गर्दै आउनुभएका निर्माताहरूलाई हौसला प्रदान गर्ने स्वरूप महोत्सवमा विशेष सम्मान समेत गरिनेछ। महोत्सवको उद्घाटनसँगै ३०भन्दा बढी साना-ठूला चलचित्रहरू चार दिनसम्म प्रदर्शन हुनेछन्, भने पौष १० गते राष्ट्रिय स्तरमा ख्याति प्राप्त निर्देशक तथा कलाकारहरूको विशिष्ट आतिथ्यमा कार्यक्रम समापन गरिनेछ।

As a gesture of encouragement, the festival will specially honor artists, directors, and producers who have persevered and continued investing in the Dhaulagiri region over the years. Alongside the opening ceremony, more than 30 short and feature films will be screened over four days, and the event will conclude on Poush 10 with nationally acclaimed directors and artists as distinguished guests.

अन्तमा, कार्यक्रमलाई भव्यताका साथ सम्पन्न गर्न करिब ६ देखि ७ लाख रुपैयाँ बजेट तय गरिएको र उक्त बजेट व्यवस्थापनका लागि सरकारी तथा गैरसरकारी संस्थाहरूको सहकार्यमा विभिन्न व्यावसायिक संस्था/कम्पनीसँग प्रायोजन माग गरिएको जानकारी समेत गराइन्छ। महोत्सव अवलोकनका लागि दर्शकहरूलाई रु. २०० को टिकटमा २ पटकसम्म प्रवेश मान्य हुने गरी व्यवस्था मिलाइएको छ।

Finally, a budget of approximately NPR 600,000 to 700,000 has been set to hold the event with grandeur, and sponsorship is being sought from various business organizations and companies in collaboration with government and non-government agencies. For viewers wishing to attend, tickets priced at NPR 200 will be valid for up to two entries.

Under this guiding theme, this four-day festival aims to be more than a series of film screenings — it is a celebration of identity, resilience, and hope.

📍 महोत्सवको बारेमा | About the Festival

यो महोत्सव धौलागिरी क्षेत्र — पर्वत, बाग्लुङ, म्याग्दी र मुस्ताङ जिल्लाहरूको मुटुमा रहेको सिद्धेश्वर चलचित्र मन्दिर, कुश्मा, पर्वतमा आयोजना हुनेछ।

The festival will be held at Siddheshwar Cinema Hall, Kushma, Parbat, in the heart of the Dhaulagiri region, comprising Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi, and Mustang districts.

चार दिने कार्यक्रमको क्रममा | During the Four-Day Event

  • ३०+ लघु चलचित्र, वृत्तचित्र, एनिमेसन र फिचर फिल्महरू प्रदर्शन गरिनेछन्। Over 30 short films, documentaries, animated, and feature films will be screened.
  • ३५०+ स्थानीय कलाकार र धेरै राष्ट्रिय निर्माता/निर्देशकहरूको सहभागिता अपेक्षित छ। More than 350 local artists and multiple national producers/directors are expected to participate.
  • पौष ७ गते उद्घाटन समारोह र पौष १० गते भव्य समापन समारोह हुनेछ, जसमा नेपालभरका प्रतिष्ठित चलचित्र व्यक्तित्वहरूको सहभागिता रहनेछ। An opening ceremony on Poush 7 and a grand closing on Poush 10 will include prominent film personalities from across Nepal.
  • चुनौतीपूर्ण परिस्थितिमा काम गरेका चलचित्रकर्मी र कलाकारहरूको समर्पणलाई मान्यता दिँदै विशेष सम्मान कार्यक्रमहरू आयोजना गरिनेछन्। Special honor and recognition programs will acknowledge the dedication of filmmakers and artists who have worked in challenging environments.

💰 बजेट र सहयोग | Budget & Support

यस कार्यक्रमलाई सफलतापूर्वक सञ्चालन गर्न करिब रु. ६,००,००० देखि ७,००,००० सम्मको बजेट प्रस्ताव गरिएको छ। हामी सहकार्य र आर्थिक सहयोगका लागि सरकारी तथा गैरसरकारी निकाय, कर्पोरेट संस्था र स्थानीय प्रायोजकहरूसँग सम्पर्कमा छौं।

To successfully execute this event, a budget of approximately NPR 600,000 to 700,000 has been proposed. We are reaching out to government and non-government agencies, corporate houses, and local sponsors for partnership and financial support.

🎟️ प्रवेश शुल्क | Entry & Tickets

सर्वसाधारणका लागि फेस्टिभलमा प्रवेश निःशुल्क नै रहनेछ। टिकट केवल स्वैच्छिक योगदानको रूपमा रु. २०० मा उपलब्ध गराइएको छ।

Entry to the festival will be free for the general public. Tickets are available only as a voluntary contribution of NPR 200.

One of the most distinctive features of this festival is its effort to bring overlooked artists, hidden talents, and yet-uncaptured scenic locations into the national spotlight.
